Bath Tubs: Most tub drain problems are caused by hair and soap scum. Most of the hair that ends up in your drains is going to end up in your tub and shower drains, where most people shampoo their hair. Hair is one of the hardest organic materials to dissolve. Daily treatment for the first 5 days is recommended as with all drains, but with a tub drain we would recommend you treat the drain each week especially if you have family members who enjoy long hot showers. Hot water can kill bacteria too and in order to keep the bacteria working in your tub drain on that nasty old hair ball you might want to retreat on a more regular basis until you can tell that the drain is really free flowing, then put it on the monthly treatment schedule with the rest of your drains.

How to treat: First get as much of any hair residue as possible out of the drain, it's yucky but it's much better to remove as much as you can and dispose of it in the trash. Then treat with one scoop of Bio-Clean to one pint of warm (not hot ) water ,pour into drain and leave in drain for 6 to 8 hours. Repeat for 5 days and then once weekly until the drain appears to be running freely and at full capacity, thereafter, use on a monthly basis to keep the drain clear.
